HoBo is one person: Tom Boylan. Referred to as the “one-man-psychedelic-acoustic-loop” artist, HoBo is a modern one-man-band. Live, Boylan presents his original songs one layer at a time, looping each instrument’s input, and compiling all the layers into one sound as he plays. Originally HoBo was Holus Bolus, and it was under this name that Boylan released two full-length albums, The Work Of The Ether (2010), and Time Machine (2012).
Based in Crescent City, this modern one-man band has also toured extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest: from Ashland to Portland, Oregon and from Seattle to Leavenworth, Washington. Currently working on a third album while playing select live shows, HoBo continues to push modern recording and live-looping to the next level.
